Project: Empower women and youth farmer groups with Entrepreneurship training

Lutheran World Relief (LWR) in their GROW project sought to catalyze employment for women and youth in the rural farming communities in Bungoma Country through recycling of coffee wastes and other agricultural crop residues to produce briquettes and compost for mushroom production.

Achievement:

The training reached 3,450 direct beneficiaries participating in this project. We achieved our objective of inculcating an entrepreneurial culture among the women and youth and empowered them with basic financial skills necessary to run the commercial initiatives.
