Lutheran World Relief (LWR) in their GROW project sought to catalyse employment for women and youth in the rural farming communities in Bungoma Country through recycling of coffee wastes and other agricultural crop residues to produce briquettes and compost for mushroom production.

• Development of training curriculum and modules for skill set improvement, financial management and value addition.
• Training facilitated for 3450 youth and women
• Facilitated skill learning for making of briquettes and compost manure
• Linkages to financial service providers for support of enterprenuers.
